I love this coffee maker but had to solve some problems

UPDATE: 5 1/2 months later and still leak-free! The solution worked -- using distilled water ONLY (then adding the mineral drops to the actual coffee cup) I had to stop using the paper filters and use the coffee machine's own filter -- it works great & easy to dump & rinse out before each use.

I bought this to replace my Mr Coffee that suddenly died. To get the most similar new Mr Coffee would have been over $75 which was surprising. This Taylor Swoden was about half the price and has the most important features for me: bold brew, auto shut off, programmable. And it's the right size.It brews very well.
