I have made coffee with the Krups coffee maker for the past 7 mornings. Over the past decade, I've relied on a French Press and have always ground my own coffee beans. Update to original review a few weeks later: Still using the coffee maker and it works great. There seems to be some confusion in the reviews about the "filter". It uses paper filters and says so in the brochure that comes with the maker. The instructions are very clear and comprehensive.
