Tiny Footprint Coffee, the world’s first carbon negative coffee. Through a unique collaboration between Roastery 7 and the Mindo Cloudforest Foundation, one an Artisan coffee roastery and the other a nonprofit conservation organization, the two teamed up to create the ultimate combination of good karma. So, how is our coffee carbon negative you might ask? It’s simple, really. It takes 4 lbs. of CO2 to produce and distribute 1 lb. of our coffee. For every pound that’s sold, we donate a portion of the proceeds to fund reforestation in Ecuador’s Mindo cloud forest.

From the roaster

  • ORGANIC COFFEE BEANS: USDA Organic, Fair Trade & Shade-Grown Arabica Coffee.
  • FLAVOR PROFILE: Sultry, bold dark roast tones with notes of chocolate roasted leaving traditional Nicaraguan flavors of bright apricot, fig, and spice
  • FAIR TRADE & SINGLE ORIGIN: PRODECOOP uses its proceeds to bring improved living standards to its growing membership and fund programs in medical care, education and environmental sustainability
  • SMALL BATCH ROASTED: Craft roasted in our vintage 90 kilo German-built Probat drum roaster retrofitted with modern fuel-efficient ribbon burners, delivering perfectly roasted coffee every time.
  • CARBON NEGATIVE: Tiny Footprint Coffee is the world’s first carbon negative coffee. For every pound that’s sold, we donate a portion of the proceeds to fund reforestation in Ecuador’s Mindo Cloud Forest. Over time, these trees will remove 54 lbs. of CO2 from the atmosphere as well as provide habitat for hundreds of native plant and animal species

    Great, smooth, rich tasting coffee!

Finallly! I've tried 4 or 5 whole bean, a couple grounds and This one's the WINNER. I've been an instant coffee drinker until this year so yes, many tries to get same or close enough strength to Anthony's. Definitely keeping as backup. This is the 1st dark whole bean I haven't had to add some Anthony's in.

    Good story. Beans are okay

The reason to buy these beans is the background story and ability to do good. The beans were packaged in clear plastic as pictured. They produced good foam, suggesting some freshness. The aroma is smokey with some tobacco notes over a butteriness. Roast is more medium or medium-dark than dark.
