Discover San Alberto, the dark roast Colombian coffee crafted for those who treat their morning cup as a ritual rather than a routine. Grown exclusively on a single estate, Hacienda San Alberto in Buenavista, Quindio, Colombia, this is specialty coffee with a heritage that reaches back to 1972 and a level of international recognition few coffees can claim. Honored with the Monde Selection Gold Medal, the iTQi Superior Taste Award with three Gold Stars and the Diamond Taste Award, among more than thirty international distinctions, it has earned its place as Colombia's most awarded coffee.

From the roaster

  • SMOOTH DARK ROAST, RICH AND NEVER BITTER OR SMOKY: This is a full-bodied Colombian dark roast built on the clean sweetness of high-grown Arabica, so you get depth and intensity without the harsh, burnt edge of ordinary dark coffee. Expect caramel, soft dark chocolate and a delicate fruit-like finish in a cup that stays balanced and smooth rather than sharp or over-roasted. If you love dark roast but dislike bitterness, this single-estate coffee gives you the bold body you want and the smoothness you have been seeking.
  • SINGLE-ESTATE 100% ARABICA, GROWN ON ONE COLOMBIAN FARM SINCE 1972: Every bean comes from a single estate, Hacienda San Alberto in Buenavista, Quindio, Colombia, cultivated between 1,500 and 1,800 meters from Caturra and Castillo varieties. This is full traceability from seed to cup, not an anonymous blend mixed from many farms and countries. High-altitude growing builds a denser, sweeter and more complex bean, which is why this Colombian coffee earns its premium and tastes nothing like commodity coffee.
  • COLOMBIA'S MOST AWARD-WINNING COFFEE, PROVEN QUALITY IN EVERY CUP: San Alberto has earned more than 30 international honors, including the Monde Selection Gold Medal, the iTQi Superior Taste Award with 3 Gold Stars and the Diamond Taste Award, a level of recognition almost no other Colombian coffee can claim. These are blind judgments by international tasting institutes, not marketing claims. When you wonder whether a specialty coffee is worth the price, this is the proof that it delivers world-class quality.
  • WHOLE BEAN FOR FRESH GRINDING, READY FOR EVERY BREW METHOD: Grind fresh just before brewing and prepare it your way, from espresso and moka pot to V60, Chemex, French press and drip machine. As a dark roast it shines in espresso and full-bodied cups, while whole bean format keeps aroma and roast character locked in until the moment you grind. Use roughly 7 to 9 grams per 100 ml of filtered water at 195 to 205 F, then adjust grind and ratio to dial in a sweeter or stronger cup to your taste.
  • RESEALABLE BAG FOR LASTING FRESHNESS, AN ELEGANT PREMIUM GIFT: The resealable, light-and-air-blocking bag protects the beans from oxygen, light, heat and moisture, so the coffee stays aromatic from the first cup to the last. Its refined purple and gold design also makes it a memorable gift for birthdays, holidays, hosts and coffee lovers, and an everyday luxury for yourself. Give a single-estate Colombian coffee with a real story of farm, craft and proven award-winning quality in every bag.
